Minefield

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Minefield was installed in a dimly lit industrial basement in Old City Philadelphia. Anthracite presented as pure carbon; egg, as a reproductive cell; and laser-excited protons as radiation; form this reductive work. Viewed from the end of the sparkling anthracite field, the single egg in the distance appears to float and optically vibrate.  The installation is metaphorically connected to minefields that transform physical and ideological landscapes, our Anthropocene.
